Listen, I am someone who absolutely loves mayo – and so does my brother actually – so maybe it runs in my family. My brother actually often orders mayo on his sandwich and extra mayo on the side. But, in all fairness, I know that there are many people out there, my boyfriend included, who cannot stand the condiment. So, I decided to create a Dairy Free and Mayo Free Egg Salad for anyone who is looking for an delicious egg salad recipe without the mayo!
This Mayo Free Egg Salad is completely dairy free and the use of avocado really adds that creaminess that egg salad needs. Plus, the salty crunch of the crisp bacon and the bright addition of fresh chives and a squeeze of lemon really just take it to a whole new level. These are a must.
I’m all about those easy, everyday meals, and my Dairy Free and Mayo Free Egg Salad is just that. So good and so simple to make – and you can use it for a variety of meals, in a variety of ways. You can whip it up for an easy breakfast, lunch, or snack. You can eat it on it’s own, or with gluten free toast or a gluten free bagel! It’s my latest breakfast obsession and go-to. I wake up every day wanting it and, luckily, it can be made in a matter of minutes. Craving satisfied with this Dairy Free and Mayo Free Egg Salad.
Can You Make Substitutions?
If you’re vegetarian and eat eggs but prefer not to eat fish/meat/poultry, feel free to leave out the bacon. While it does add a nice crunch factor and salty crisp, you can omit. You can also substitute with a plan-based bacon of your choosing.
Which Dairy Free Mayo is Best?
Personally, this is my favorite dairy free mayo. I also like this one, too. It’s super fun to make your own at home as well if you prefer!
