Gluten Free & Dairy Free Salted Caramel Pretzel Chocolate Cake
For the cake:
@simplemills gluten free and dairy free chocolate cake mix
3 eggs
1/3 cup oil
2/3 cup water
1 tbsp vanilla
Handful of @enjoylife gluten free and dairy free chocolate chips
Dairy free vanilla frosting
Gluten free pretzels

Flaky sea salt
- Preheat oven to 350 or 325F depending on your pan according to instructions on back of cake mix box.
- Whisk eggs, water, oil, and vanilla in a bowl and add in the chocolate cake mix, chocolate chips, and mix until well combined.
- Pour the cake batter into a nonstick or parchment lined baking pan or cake pan.
- Bake 30-37 minutes depending on oven&pan, our until center of cake bounces back when pressed and toothpick comes out with a few crumbs.
- Let cake cool completely and while the cake cools, make the homemade caramel in a saucepan (full recipe and instructions for caramel can be found on my blog)
- When cake is cool, remove from pan and frost with dairy free frosting. Top with a layer of pretzels and pour the caramel on top and springy flaky sea salt. *note: caramel will harden over time so wait to pour caramel until serving*
